Hospice of Lansing and Ionia Area Hospice ON CALL NURSE

We have an immediate job opportunity for an On-Call Registered Nurse with excellent clinical and customer service skills. The successful candidate should possess:

  • Valid Michigan RN License
  • Valid State Driver's license
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Compassion and kindness
  • Hospice experience preferred
  • Electronic Medical Record computer experience preferred
  • Strong grasp of medication and alternative therapy management.
  • Ability to handle crisis situations, including hospice admissions, pain/symptom management as well as information visits to potential patients/families.
  • Nurse triage skills, providing person centered care
  • Excellent team skills
  • Must have the ability to work with a variety of health care disciplines

This position works one week on and one week off. The position covers our entire geographical territory. The nurse is responsible for the after hours care of our hospice patients from 4:30 pm to 9 am Monday through Friday and the entire day (24 hours) on Saturday and Sunday. There are seven flex days off offered each year and a complete competitive benefit package, including health care, vision and dental, short and long term disability and more.

This position is offered upon the successful completion of physical exam, fingerprinting, criminal background, and reference checks.

Full-Time or Part-Time Marketing/Community Relations Provider
Benefit Package based on Full/Part-Time Status We have an immediate job opportunity for a Marketing/Community Relations Provider. The successful candidate should possess and demonstrate the following qualifications: Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field, Master’s degree preferred.
  • At least five (5) years of professional sales experience, preferably in health care.
  • Ability to market aggressively and deal tactfully with customers and the community.
  • Ability to listen empathetically.
  • Demonstrate good communication skills, negotiation skills, and public relations skills.
  • Demonstrate autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility and cooperation in performing job responsibilities.
  • Compliance with accepted professional standards and practices.

This position works primarily Monday through Friday, 8:30 to 5:00. The position covers our Greater Ionia geographical territory. Benefits may include health care, vision and dental, short and long term disability and more. The salary is commensurate with experience.   • Shift is afternoon hours Monday through Friday.

  • Need may increase during vacation and holiday periods.
  • Typical shift is 8:30 to 5 pm Monday through Friday.
  • Weekend availability a plus.
  • Holiday availability a plus as well.
